My consulting services support teachers and school leaders in growing their knowledge of current literacy research. I help translate the theory and research findings into every day actionable approaches to teaching that support students’ literacy learning.
Through professional workshops, group facilitation, and coaching support, I help teachers instantiate the latest evidence-based literacy practices in their classrooms. I also work with leadership teams to create a shared literacy vision, build schools’ organizational capacities, streamline assessment processes, determine programmatic needs, develop curriculum, and strengthen mentorship programs.
I promote collaboration between teachers and school leaders to solve problems of practice, acknowledging the collective wisdom in the room and leaning into the extant body of literacy research. I seek to empower educators at all career stages to go outside of their comfort zones, question assumptions, take risks, and integrate new teaching techniques.
